Magic and Spells
Arm yourself with Words of Power and other magical components to become a powerful wizard, conjuring food out of thin air and hurling fire from your fingertips. Or become an Alchemist and learn to mix potions of varying effects and strength. And if it's the dark arts you prefer, become a Necromancer and control the undead! Whether you use your own spellcasting abilities or smite your foes with powerful magic wands, the power of the arcane is within your grasp.

Crafting and Non-combat Skills
There are also many non-combat related skills available for those that prefer crafting over combat. Be a tailor and create sensational garments, or a blacksmith that forges exceptional armor and weapons. Build furniture for houses as a carpenter, or be a fisherman and ply your trade on the ocean blue.

In Ultima Online, you're not limited to strict classes or templates, since the flexibility of the system allows players to mix and match skills. And you're never locked into a choice, since you can always go back and try out new skills. Play a master chef who pickpockets his own tips from the customers, or perhaps the tinker's apprentice who secretly practices her lute in hopes of one day becoming a famous bard. The choice is entirely yours.

Customizable Appearance
Players can choose from a wide range of attributes to give their characters their own unique look.

You can choose your hair style, hair color, skin tone, and clothing colors from an available list of choices when you first create a character. Once in game, there are even more choices for hair color, garments, and armor for further customization.

Not only can you pick new garments to wear (dresses, kilts, fancy shirts, hats, footwear, and more), but you can also dye them a myriad of hues, allowing you to mix and match styles to your heart's content. Be the first in Britannia to set a new fashion trend, or scare your neighbors by wearing as many garish colors as possible - it's your choice!
